See your ZIP code coverage on a map
Use the map to spot gaps and overlaps between U.S. ZIP coverage areas. Use the saved list to answer the exact question: is this five-digit ZIP included?
Open Zip ControlAudit a coverage area before you use it
Open the areas you want to compare
Use the map to see which part of a market each named area covers. Look for gaps between territories and for ZIPs that may belong to more than one list.
Check the ZIP in the actual list
Search for an address or ZIP to locate it, then verify the five-digit ZIP against the saved area list. A marker’s position inside a shaded shape does not decide whether the ZIP is included.
Edit the list and check again
When you want to expand or shrink a territory, add or remove the ZIP in the relevant area. Reopen the list to confirm the change and check adjacent areas if the ZIP should only be covered by one.
Resolve overlap and gaps without relying on the map alone
Overlap
Compare the saved lists for the two areas. A ZIP can appear in both lists, so decide whether both teams should serve it or whether one list needs an edit.
Gap
If a ZIP you expect to serve is missing from both lists, verify the code, then add it to the appropriate area. Confirm it appears in the saved list before using it for dispatch.
Address at the edge
An address marker near the edge is a visual clue. Confirm the address’s actual postal ZIP, then check that five-digit code against the saved list for the correct service.

Common questions
Are ZIP map boundaries exact?
No. The map uses Census ZIP Code Tabulation Areas (ZCTAs), which approximate ZIP geography. They are not USPS delivery boundaries, and not every valid ZIP has a mapped shape. See the Census Bureau’s guide to ZIP Code Tabulation Areas.
Can I use this to verify a deliverable street address?
No. Zip Control helps you decide whether a known ZIP is on your own coverage list. Confirm the correct ZIP for the street address with a postal address lookup when delivery accuracy matters.
Does the map support international postal codes?
No. Zip Control currently maps U.S. ZIP codes, not postal codes from other countries.
